The List

10) Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf (1985)

Rating: 1.5/4

Current Hits: 926

Last Year's List: 481 (#9 most read review)

Consensus: It went down a notch, but it was in last years top 10 too, so it's no surprise that it remained at the top. Still, it certainly earned a lot more hits from last year, showing that "Howling 2" is an enduring phenomenom in bad film making. I doubt people will ever get sick of it.

On the Review: Same as last year. Not one of my best, but it has its moments.

9) Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)

Rating: 3/4

Current Hits: 945

Last Year's Hits: 555 (#7 most read review)

Consensus: Like "Howling 2", this film was on last year's list, but this one went down two notches. The Halloween movies tend to do well on my site, but why is this one so popular? Maybe because praising the first film is nothing new, so when an underappreciated sequel gets praise, it draws interest. Otherwise, I don't know why it did so well.

On the Review: My opinions haven't changed. It is a pretty solid review.

8) Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986)

Rating: 2/4

Current Hits: 1144

Last Year's Hits: 525 (#8 most read review)

Consensus: Wherever people are finding it, the interest in my review remained the same. It was #8 last year and is #8 this year, earning a little more than the same amount of hits. It still does sort of confuse me that a mediocre sequel garnered so much attention, but I aint complaining!

On the Review: Once again, my feelings haven't changed.

7) The Book of Eli (2010)

Rating: 2.5/4

Current Hits: 1,261

Last Years Hits: 509 (#6th most read review)

Consensus: Sometimes I worry that in the future, the list will remain more-or-less the same, unlike the bridge between the first two years. Once again, it placed on the list last year. It's popularity moved quickly and it's no surprise it's remained up here, even if it dropped a place.

On the Review: Same as always! Once again, I like the movie more than I did back then.

6) The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008)

Rating: 1/4

Current Hits: 1581

Last Year's Hits: 1344

Consensus: It didn't grow that much, suggesting that no one cares about the movie anymore, and they shouldn't. It's bad in a more mundane kind of way and the only reason it's up there is that for a brief moment, people wanted to know how bad this movie was. Still, it's not an easy movie to topple!

On the Review: Same as last year.

5) Undisputed III: Redemption (2010)

Rating: 3.5/4

Current Hits: 1755

Last Year's Hits: 333 (runner up; 12th most read review)

Consensus: Probably the years fastest jumper, as it hopped from 12th to 5th place. I know it was linked as an external review on imdb, so that probably contributed to its popularity. It's also likely that interest in these Undisputed sequels were high, considering that "Undisputed 2" (which wasn't linked to imdb) got even more hits. It is nice to see a new item on this list, finally!

On the Review: It really isn't all that great of a review. Honestly, I remember being at a loss as to what I wanted to say and it shows. It's somewhat sloppy, redundant and I overemphasise the problems. It's not a bad review, it's just not very good.

4) Jurassic Park (1993)

Rating: 4/4

Current Hits: 2281

Last Year's Hits: 2265 (#3 most read review)

Consensus: Like "The Haunting of Molly Hartley", it appears my review of "Jurassic Park" gained much attention for a short while, but it passed. In fact, of all the films in this list, it garnered the least attention throughout the year (16 hits). It's only so high because it did well in previous years.

On the review: I'm getting tired of saying 'same as before'.

3) Yip Man (2009)

Rating: 3.5/4

Current Hits: 3567

Last Year's Hits: 1298 (#4th most read review)

Consensus: Once again, I got this review up when interest was high, but availability was low. It also helps that it's a great movie, so I imagine its popularity will endure. "Yip Man 2" didn't make the top 10 list, but it did come close (#11).

On the Review: Same old, same old.

2) Return of Godzilla (1984)
Rating: 3.5/4

Current Hits: 3682

Last Year's Hits: 3649 (#2)

Consensus: Like "Jurassic Park" and "The Haunting of Molly Hartley", it did very well at some point in my reviewing career, but was not in demand for 2011. Still, when it did well, it did so well that it retained its #2 spot. I suspect it will be surpassed by Yip Man next year though.

On the Review: Do you really think my opinion has changed on any of these by now?

1) Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006)

Rating: 3/4

Current Hits: 7632

Last Year's List: 3904 (#1 most read review)

Consensus: Something tells me that this one will be hard to topple. I can't figure out how it's become so huge, but it certainly is despite being a direct-to-DVD movie that came out years ago. Regardless, it clearly was no fluke, as it nearly doubled its hit count. I can only guessed it was linked, but I don't know who did it.

On the Review: I am glad that what is arguably the best review on the list is #1.

Runner Ups: Yip Man 2 (816), The Grudge 3 (815), Against the Dark (774), The Brides of Dracula (770), Deadspace: Downfall (702)

The Grudge 3 moved up on the list and Yip man 2, Deadspace Downfall and Brides of Dracula were new additions to the runner ups.. Brides of Dracula, according to last years list, only had 13 hits. So that's a shocker. Against the Dark continues to hold on to its runner up position and is my most read Seagal feature (Seagal films tend to do well on my site anyway). For those wondering, "The Collector" fell to 18th place, "The Ghost Galleon" fell to 21st place and "Repo Men" fell to 17th place. It's nice that unlike the main list, the Runner Ups had more new additions and diversity.

So that's my most read reviews as of January 1st, 2012. Thanks for reading and thanks for giving me what little attention I've gotten!
